Frogblue at Intersec Dubai and Perimeter Protection 2025: Innovations in security technology

January 24, 2025

Frogblue presented its latest developments in the field of building security and access control at two major trade fairs – Intersec Dubai and Perimeter Protection in Nuremberg – from 14 to 16 January 2025. In Dubai, Frogblue was represented together with the Competence Center SEDi GmbH in the German Pavilion (Stand Z3-F21). In Nuremberg, Frogblue presented its solutions together with VALEO IT Neteye GmbH in Hall 1, Stand 1-100. Trade visitors were able to discover the innovative products on site. The frogTerminal, a decentrally developed SIP video door intercom that set new standards in access control, was the centrepiece.

Flexibility and easy integration: the frogTerminal

The frogTerminal is based on the international SIP standard and can be easily integrated into existing SIP telephone systems and servers. Thanks to the decentralised architecture, no additional cabling was required, so that existing systems such as MOBOTIX or SIEDLE door stations could be replaced without new cables or flush-mounted sockets. The system was also suitable for multi-party scenarios. Users had the option of accessing the system via RFID, PIN or up to triple authentication. All access events were documented in the video logbook and the 8-megapixel camera offered a hemispheric 180° panoramic view for maximum security. In addition, the frogTerminal could be easily integrated into existing building control systems, enabling centralised management of access control and building functions.

New version of the frogTerminal with mechanical doorbell button

In response to requests from several partners and customers, particularly in the industrial sector, Frogblue developed a new version of the frogTerminal, which was added to the product range. Equipped with a mechanical bell push, this version offered an additional solution for environments with high demands in terms of robustness and reliability. This further increased the versatility and user-friendliness of the system.

Intelligent ‘frogs’: wireless control without cables

In addition to the frogTerminal, Frogblue also presented the intelligent ‘frogs’ control units. These enabled wireless control of lights, blinds, fans, windows, doors, roller shutters, heating and door intercoms, without the need for control cables. The ‘frogs’ worked with Bluetooth and thus offered maximum flexibility in the automation of building functions.

Security solutions for outdoor areas and buildings

At Perimeter Protection, Frogblue and VALEO IT Neteye GmbH presented comprehensive security solutions for outdoor areas and buildings. These complemented the Frogblue technologies and offered customised security concepts for challenging outdoor areas.

Global compatibility and standards

Frogblue relied on proven international standards to ensure worldwide compatibility. These included DALI for controlling lighting solutions, SIP for transmitting audio and video data, and MQTT, which was used in the frogCloud and managed in a German data centre. Bluetooth technology also provided a wireless connection for all devices integrated into the system.

Cloud solutions: flexibility on demand

No cloud or internet connection was required for building control and no data was stored outside the building. However, if you wanted to control your building remotely, you could do so either via a secure VPN remote access or the free and anonymously usable frogCloud. The connection to the smartphone was established via a secure QR code, which was automatically linked to the corresponding user interface and the defined user rights.

Techno-Commercial Meet in Dubai

The Techno-Commercial Meet took place at the Hilton Business Bay, Dubai, on 17 January 2025, following Intersec Dubai. Here, experts were able to gain practical knowledge of frogblue solutions and had the opportunity to further their training in hands-on sessions and to network with other experts from the region.
