i-PRO Launches New High Zoom Bullet Camera for Long-Range Security

November 20, 2024

i-PRO has unveiled its latest High Zoom Bullet camera series, designed for long-range surveillance with advanced edge AI capabilities. These cameras are equipped with powerful zoom and infrared (IR) LED technologies, providing precision monitoring across various environments such as motorways, car parks, bridges, ports, and stadiums.

Key Features of the New Lineup

The new series includes 10x and 30x zoom options, with a long-range IR LED capability of up to 250 meters (820 feet), ensuring optimal performance in low-light or nighttime conditions. Available in 2MP, 5MP, and 4K resolutions, the range introduces 20 new models across the X- and S-series.

Setting a New Standard in Security

Gerard Figols, Chief Product Officer at i-PRO, emphasized the camera’s superior performance, AI-powered analytics, and the industry-leading 200-meter IR distance. “This sets a new standard for long-range security monitoring in critical environments like city surveillance, infrastructure, and transportation hubs,” Figols said.

AI-Powered Object Detection

The X-series cameras feature the Ambarella CV52 SoC, which includes nine pre-installed edge applications to enhance object detection, AI-based learning, and smarter incident detection in all conditions. i-PRO’s open AI platform also allows third-party developers to tailor the system to specific needs, adding AI analytics to non-AI network cameras, including those from other manufacturers. The cameras can collect AI metadata from up to three non-AI camera streams, improving situational awareness, especially in hard-to-reach areas.

Advanced Active Guard Integration

When paired with i-PRO’s Active Guard intelligent search application, the cameras provide metadata that describes the unique attributes of humans and vehicles, which can be easily integrated into video management systems (VMS) such as Milestone, Genetec, and Video Insight. This allows for deep forensic search and real-time proactive monitoring of critical events.

LPR-Optimized Models for License Plate Capture

The lineup also includes four LPR-optimized models, capable of capturing license plates at speeds up to 130 km/h, day or night. An advanced Long Wavelength Pass Filter (LPF) minimizes glare from headlights, ensuring high accuracy in challenging lighting conditions. Vaxtor’s LPR software is bundled with the cameras, licensed separately.

Unmatched Value in Security Solutions

Figols added, “This is the first time we’re launching a third-party application bundled with our edge computing cameras, demonstrating how our hardware and software partners deliver unparalleled value to mission-critical applications like city surveillance and traffic monitoring.”

Additional Features

  • Cybersecurity: The cameras are NDAA and TAA compliant, FIPS 140-2 Level 3 certified, and include secure boot (X-series) and GlobalSign digital certificates for robust cybersecurity.
  • Gyro-Based Stabilization: Integrated gyro sensors reduce vibration during zoom operations, ensuring stable, sharp images.
  • Easy Installation: A ball-joint mechanism and temporary holding structure simplify installation, while the sunshade design minimizes external light and rain interference for optimal image quality.

The new High Zoom Bullet cameras are set to enhance security monitoring across a range of critical applications, offering long-range, high-performance surveillance with AI-enhanced capabilities.
