Cloud-to-cloud integration combines access control and smart home – more security, convenience and connectivity with the Homematic IP app update 3.5.12
Access control is now even smarter: the announced cloud-to-cloud integration between DoorBird and Homematic IP is being released with the Homematic IP app update 3.5.12. Users benefit from greater convenience, security and seamless communication directly via the Homematic IP app.
DoorBird door stations set standards in door communication. The multi-award-winning products are now part of the Homematic IP smart home system. Update 3.5.12 for the free Homematic IP app, which will be rolled out gradually from 27 May 2025, enables users to establish a secure cloud-to-cloud connection between a DoorBird video door station and a Homematic IP installation. This makes access control for smart homes even easier and more convenient.
When a visitor rings the doorbell, the Homematic IP app informs the residents via push notification. Then all it takes is a tap to speak directly to the guest: all video and audio signals are transmitted directly to the Homematic IP app. If desired, the door can be opened with just one more tap – simple, fast and secure.
As a Homematic IP partner product, the DoorBird video door station can be flexibly combined with many components of the smart home system, such as a Homematic IP door lock drive. Users can also use the integrated switching relay, motion detector or doorbell button and the access module of the DoorBird device for intelligent automation as they wish.
The integration is available to all customers with a Homematic IP Access Point or a Homematic IP Home Control Unit and the free Homematic IP app version 3.5.12 or higher, which will be rolled out gradually to all users starting on 27 May 2025. All DoorBird video door stations in the D11 and D21 series are supported.
