This has enabled the company to consolidate its position as the global market leader in access control and expand its global position as the number two provider of access control software.
In the Americas, access control software has grown beyond the physical security department to become an integral component of overall business operations. According to the Omdia Report, this broader adoption has increased demand for unified security solutions that allow organisations to manage systems such as access control, video surveillance and intrusion detection from a single interface. Genetec has been quick to identify these market needs, and has continued to grow its market share as a result. The company has seen a 28 percent compound annual growth rate over the last six years

In the highly fragmented EMEA market, Genetec is ranked among the top 10 providers of access control software. The Omdia report also finds that end users in the region prefer open systems that offer flexibility and customisation. This confirms Genetec’s strategy of offering adaptable solutions tailored to the region, as evidenced by its partnership with STid.
In the Asia-Pacific region (excluding China), Genetec continues to rapidly expand its market share and climbs to 6th place (from 10th place in 2021).
