Over 260 exhibitors from 25 countries in Cologne ++ Expansion of Critical IoT and private 5G campus networks ++ High participation in Hackathon@PMRExpo ++ Three-day summit with practical insights ++ Users, suppliers, service providers and procurers in dialogue
In just a few days, PMRExpo in Cologne will once again bring together the industry of secure mission- and business-critical communication. From 26 to 28 November 2024, over 260 exhibitors from 25 countries will present their latest products and services. This means that the trade fair will significantly exceed the number of exhibitors from the previous year and present an even broader range of solutions for public authorities and organisations with security tasks (BOS), critical infrastructures (KRITIS) and industry. The trade fair will be accompanied by the PMRExpo Summit, which will offer practical insights into challenges and developments in the industry with a top-class programme.
New accents: Critical IoT and private 5G campus networks
With the expansion of the thematic areas of private 5G campus networks and Critical IoT, this year PMRExpo is increasingly focussing on key future topics of secure mission- and business-critical communication and the network solutions required for this. The new special area ‘5G Hub for Private Networks’ illustrates how private 5G campus networks can fulfil industry-specific requirements. Selected exhibitors will present various use cases using miniature models and demonstrations:
- MECSware (CampusOS): From stationary video transmission at major events to the control of robots and drones in firefighting operations – MECSware shows how the entire 5G network infrastructure can be installed directly on a drone.
- UPLINK (intralogistics): UPLINK demonstrates the simple implementation and operation of modern private 5G campus networks with a fully constructed 5G sample system.
- TU Dortmund (BOS and rescue robotics): In a rescue robotics diorama, visitors can see how robots can assist in operations and save lives with the help of a 5G network.
- HMF (CampusOS): The mobile ‘5G Smartbox’ shows flexible, on-site 5G infrastructure for versatile applications.
- Nokia / CampusGenius (Smart Factory): A compact demo shows a conveyor belt, an HMI, a video camera and external sensors that simulate various automation steps – from condition monitoring to AR/VR support.
- Lucom (CampusOS): With the combination of 5G industrial routers and Bondix S.A.NE software, Lucom presents stable, uninterrupted connectivity, which is essential for critical systems and real-time data transmission.
Networking and exchange in the Connecting Area
The Connecting Area offers visitors a wide range of opportunities for networking and exchanging knowledge with exhibitors, trade visitors, start-ups and media representatives, as well as a varied programme of presentations. The highlights of the programme include the object radio forum and the presentation of the results of the BSI-funded COBRA-5G project.
Hackathon: Redesigning crisis communication with AI
The Hackathon@PMRExpo powered by Corevas brings together young talents from various fields such as programming, design and business development in teams. With the support of 12 exhibitors, they will develop and present new concepts and practical solutions on the topic of ‘Redesigning crisis communication with AI’. Visitors will have the opportunity to exchange ideas with the hackathon participants and partners throughout the event and watch the final presentations on 28 November.
PMRExpo Summit promises high professional added value
The three-day PMRExpo Summit offers the ideal opportunity to find out about the latest developments in secure mission- and business-critical communication. High-calibre speakers and experts will shed light on current challenges, present solutions and share valuable best-practice examples. The focus will be on topics such as private 5G campus networks, BOS and public safety, KRITIS and control centres. The summit promises valuable impulses and offers numerous opportunities to exchange ideas and network with leading minds in the industry.
PMRExpo and the PMRExpo Summit are organised by Koelnmesse and the Bundesverband Professioneller Mobilfunk e.V. (PMeV) as the conceptual sponsor.
