New access control innovations to be presented at VerkadaOne London
At this year’s VerkadaOne London, Verkada, a leading provider of cloud-based security solutions, announced its latest partnership with the German specialist for electronic access solutions, SimonsVoss. The integration of SmartIntego locks into the Verkada platform marks a further milestone in the expansion of company-wide access control solutions and underlines the company’s ambitions in the European market.
With over 350 IT and physical security executives in attendance, the London conference provided not only a platform for networking but also an exclusive preview of upcoming innovations in the Verkada ecosystem.
“I am proud to present the breadth and depth of our product offering here in Europe at VerkadaOne London,” said Ardon Anderson, Vice President EMEA at Verkada. ”Our new partnership with SimonsVoss will open up new potential for us as our access control offering continues to grow, helping organizations implement enterprise-wide security solutions more easily and efficiently.”
Seamless integration for more flexibility
Verkada already manages access for over 3.7 million users and processes more than 1.5 million visitor registrations every month. With SimonsVoss, the network of wireless lock integrations will now be significantly expanded, particularly for companies in Europe that want to upgrade to modern access systems without the need for rewiring.
The new integration allows doors to be controlled remotely, live access events to be viewed, access plans to be managed and blocking functions to be activated. The locks’ battery levels can also be viewed via the platform. Thanks to the deep integration with Verkada’s video security solutions, customers also gain unique insight into user behavior and potential security risks – such as unauthorized access through “tailgating” or sharing access credentials.
New features for smarter access control
The SimonsVoss integration is part of a comprehensive further development of the Verkada platform, particularly in the area of access control. The latest enhancements include:
- Verkada Guest + Access Control: The deeper integration of these modules makes it easy to issue temporary visitor badges – either digitally via a link or as a physical badge.
- OSDP compatibility: Door readers from third-party providers with OSDP protocol can now be seamlessly integrated into the system for greater interoperability and future-proof investments.
- APIs for access levels & door exceptions: New interfaces make it easier to automate and connect to existing IT and HR systems to dynamically manage access rights.
Conclusion
The partnership between Verkada and SimonsVoss opens a new chapter in the European security landscape. The seamless integration and continuous development of the platform clearly show that cloud-based access control has long since grown beyond classic door control – to an intelligent, networked security infrastructure that offers scalability, transparency and control to organizations of all sizes.
