At its meeting today, the Supervisory Board of Rosenbauer International AG appointed Robert Ottel as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Rosenbauer International AG. He will succeed Sebastian Wolf, who is leaving the Group. Robert Ottel will take up his position as CEO on 22 April 2025. He has been appointed for a period of three years.

Robert Ottel began his career in 1997 at voestalpine AG as a participant in the group’s own worldwide development programme, the ‘High Mobility Pool’. He held various management positions and in 2001 joined the management of the former Automotive Division. As head of this division, Ottel also became a member of the Group Management Board of voestalpine AG in 2004; after two years as head of the division, he was appointed CFO of the entire Group in 2005. He left this position at his own request on 31 March 2024 after 19 years as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Ottel studied mechanical engineering at the Vienna University of Technology and business administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, and completed a General MBA programme at LIMAK. He is a member of the Supervisory Board of Melecs Holding.
Sebastian Wolf has worked for Rosenbauer International AG since 2008 and has been a member of the Group’s Executive Board since 2017. He was initially responsible for finance in his role as CFO. Wolf has been CEO since 2022. The strategic realignment of the Rosenbauer Group from 2022 onwards and the operational and financial restructuring of the Group fall within his term of office. Sebastian Wolf is handing over the Rosenbauer Group with record operating earnings of around 65 million euros and a very positive outlook for the coming years.
