Sicurezza 2025 in Milan will once again bring together national and international experts this year to discuss current trends and challenges in the field of security. The focus will be on the integration of physical and digital security, as the boundaries between threats are becoming increasingly blurred. The Cyber & Security Arena provides a platform for practical discussions and solutions ranging from corporate security and cybersecurity to the protection of critical infrastructure.
The congress opens with the event ‘Security Without Borders: Protecting the Country Across Physical and Digital Spaces’, which deals with the further development of the security perimeters of companies and institutions. Experts discuss which organisational and technological levers are necessary to effectively protect people, data and strategic assets, and how a security culture can become a competitive advantage.
This will be followed by the panel discussion ‘Cybersecurity: Skills, Awareness, Integration’, which will examine how cybersecurity can be established as a strategic cross-cutting factor in companies and administrations. The discussion will focus on building a practical security culture, integrating cybersecurity into innovation processes and overcoming the separation between physical and digital security.
Another focus is the protection of corporate perimeters and supply chains, addressed in ‘Perimeter Protection and Supply Chain Control: Operational Strategies’. Here, the use of zero trust architectures, software-defined perimeters and continuous auditing will be discussed, as well as cooperation with suppliers to reduce the potential for attack.
The importance of regulatory frameworks is highlighted in the event ‘CER and NIS2: Integrated and Resilient Security for Critical Infrastructures’, which deals with the EU directives NIS2 and CER. Discussions will focus on the integration of cybersecurity and business continuity, synergies between the directives and their impact on businesses and the Italian economy.
In addition to cyber and corporate security, the trade fair also highlights physical security in specific areas. Under ‘Between banking and retail: new frontiers in physical security and cash management’, new concepts such as bank-in-shop and cash BAI will be presented, which enable the integration of digital and physical security in hybrid business models.
Security at major events will be addressed in “Physical Security at Major Events: Public-Private Synergy in the Milan-Cortina 2026 Model‘. The focus here is on cooperation between public institutions and private partners such as Fiera Milano to ensure the smooth and safe running of the Olympic Games.
In the transport sector, the security manager plays a central role, as explained in ’Managing Risk in Transportation: The Key Role of the Security Manager”. Their tasks include risk management, coordination with authorities and the integration of technical security solutions for distributed infrastructures.
Special attention is also paid to the cultural and museum sector: ‘Training Cultural Security Managers: Strategic Skills for the Protection of Cultural Heritage’ trains specialists who combine security strategies with technological, strategic and cultural knowledge in order to protect cultural heritage in the long term.
Finally, EDU Day offers a platform for direct exchange between companies, students and educational institutions. Career opportunities, specific job profiles and practical workshops are presented to inspire young people to pursue careers in the security sector.
