AMG Systems unveils high-performance server appliance for security-critical networks

April 27, 2026

With the new AMG840 Series Network Server Appliance, AMG Systems is launching a high-performance server platform for demanding monitoring, infrastructure and security applications. The 1U rack-mount system is aimed at operators of critical infrastructure, system integrators and industrial users with high demands on performance and availability.

Developed in the UK and the US and manufactured in the UK, the appliance has been specifically designed for use with AMG Net-Hawk. Basic versions are also available, allowing for custom installations with proprietary operating systems, storage solutions and applications.

Technically, the AMG840 series is based on 12th and 13th generation Intel Core processors. Configurations with Intel i3, i5, i7, i9 and Celeron CPUs are supported. In addition, there is up to 64 GB of DDR4 RAM. For data-intensive environments, the system features six 2.5 Gigabit RJ45 ports and four 10 Gigabit SFP+ interfaces.

This makes the platform particularly suitable for applications such as transport infrastructure, energy supply, industrial networks, public safety systems or corporate security. AMG is thus positioning the solution as a robust foundation for high-availability applications in high-bandwidth networks.

For continuous operation, the system has been equipped with redundant, hot-swappable power supplies. Furthermore, the appliance is designed for operating temperatures ranging from 0 to +50 degrees Celsius. The metal housing supports installation in standardised 19-inch racks.

The AMG840 series supports both Windows and Linux operating systems and, according to the manufacturer, meets key compliance requirements such as NDAA and TAA. Pre-configured models with pre-installed Net-Hawk software are designed to enable rapid deployment, whilst open variants offer maximum flexibility for specialised applications.
