ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems once again named a Leading Company in Austria

February 20, 2026

ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems Austria GmbH has been certified with the Leading Company in Austria seal for the fifth time in a row. The award was presented at an event at Vienna Airport – a location where the company’s solutions are used extensively in daily operations.

The recertification confirms the company’s economic performance and its sustainable and value-oriented corporate management. Every two years, Leitbetriebe Austria subjects certified companies to a comprehensive qualification process. Among other things, economic stability, innovative strength, ecological responsibility and fair treatment of employees, customers and partners are evaluated.

Hermann Niessler, Managing Director of ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems Austria, emphasises the significance of the award: ‘For us, being a leading company means understanding corporate responsibility holistically – economically, ecologically and socially. Sustainable success comes from innovation, reliability and practical solutions.’

Focus on energy efficiency and digitalisation

A key topic in the current recertification process was the company’s contribution to energy efficiency. The ASSA ABLOY ecoLOGIC digital solution optimises automatic door systems and controls opening times according to demand, thereby reducing energy consumption and CO₂ emissions. The aim is to combine comfort and security with measurable efficiency gains.

System-relevant infrastructure in continuous operation

The range of applications is evident at Vienna Airport: automatic sliding doors, revolving door drives, passenger gates and self-boarding gates ensure smooth operations in a high-traffic environment. The portfolio is complemented by a 24/7 service network throughout Austria.

Leitbetriebe Austria is regarded as a cross-sector platform of excellence for companies that combine economic success with ecological and social responsibility. The renewed certification underlines ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems Austria’s position as an established player in the Austrian market for access and entrance solutions.
