BHE symposium on perimeter security: current research projects, cyber security measures and practical knowledge

September 23, 2023

he importance of perimeter security is steadily increasing. This is shown not only by the draft of the KRITIS umbrella law, the cornerstones of which have been set in the cabinet at the end of 2022, but also by the increasing (inter)national efforts to adequately counter threats on the ground and from the air.

Therefore, this year’s “Fachtagung Perimetersicherung – Insiderwissen” on October 24, 2023 in Wachtberg (near Bonn) will deal, among other things, with the perimeter security of CRITIS sites. In a user presentation, participants will learn directly from the operator of an electricity transmission network about the extension of site protection as well as the corresponding techniques and processes.

The other presentations at this event of the BHE Bundesverband Sicherheitstechnik e.V. are also highly interesting:

With regard to cyber security in perimeter protection, the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) intensively illuminates the digital attack paths on perimeter protection and shows corresponding solution paths and protective measures.

With regard to the new application standard DIN VDE V 0826-20, two proven standardization experts will illustrate the quality improvements in the processing of perimeter projects that can be achieved through the standard and the available tools and checklists.

Another highlight: the Fraunhofer Institute for Communication, Information Processing and Ergonomics (FKIE) will open its doors for the conference and provide participants with interesting insights into current research projects in the fields of sensor detection and situation display, among other things.

The event is primarily aimed at those responsible for security in companies, technical specialists, representatives of authorities such as police advice centers and LKAs, as well as planners and insurers of perimeter security systems.
