German Fire Protection Association: New board elected

The Bundesverband Brandschutz e.V. (BVB) (German Fire Protection Association) has elected its new board of directors in rotation during the general meeting on 28 April 2023 in Bayreuth. The new chairman is Marc Zimmermann (ZAPP-ZIMMERMANN GmbH (on the right in the photo), who replaces the previous chairman Dr. Wolfgang Zer- nial. Anja Peter (Rudolf Hensel GmbH) was confirmed as Deputy Chairman and Dr. Roman Rupp (DEUTSCHE ROCKWOOL GmbH & Co. KG) was newly elected.

Another member of the board is the treasurer Jürgen Stauffer (Flamro Brandschutz Vertriebs GmbH), who was confirmed in office. In addition, the auditors Knut Roski (Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG) and Karl-Heinz Ullrich were elected.

and Karl-Heinz Ullrich (Walraven GmbH) were newly elected. “We are looking forward to the future cooperation with the new board and would like to express our sincere thanks to Dr. Wolfgang Zernial for his many years of commitment as chairman of the BVB and his ongoing dedication to preventive fire protection,” said the association spokesman.

Innovative solutions need framework conditions

Marc Zimmermann: “I would like to thank my predecessor Dr. Wolfgang Zernial very much for the work he did for the Bundesverband Brandschutz e.V. and I am looking forward to the future shape of my new office. We as the new board will work together with the members of the BVB in a highly motivated manner on the challenges ahead of us in preventive structural fire protection. The focus is on working towards ensuring that the framework conditions for construction are plannable and reliable and that innovations are not delayed. To this end, it is necessary to accelerate the granting of certificates for construction products and types of construction. The BVB is positioning itself here with clear and practical proposals in a constructive dialogue with politics and administration.
