Change in management at Securiton Germany as of 1 January 2026

January 29, 2026

Securiton Germany is set to undergo a significant change in management at the beginning of 2026: Volker Benz will take over as managing director of the company on 1 January 2026. He succeeds Horst Geiser, who is handing over operational management after more than 30 years at Securiton, 14 of which he spent as managing director.

The change is the result of a structured succession process initiated at an early stage, which was aimed at ensuring a seamless transition, long-term stability and the strategic development of the company. Horst Geiser will hand over management on 31 December 2025 and continue to actively support the transition.

Successful tenure with sustainable development

Under the leadership of Horst Geiser, Securiton Germany has developed into a firmly established player in the German security market. His tenure was marked by continuous economic growth, a strong corporate culture and the strategic development of the company.

‘Horst Geiser has developed Securiton Germany into an economically strong and culturally stable organisation,’ emphasises Daniel Liechti, CEO of the Securitas Group Switzerland.

Horst Geiser will retire at the end of 2026. Until then, he will continue to advise his successor, particularly on ongoing strategic projects.

Volker Benz takes over as Managing Director

Volker Benz, a long-standing management expert who has grown within the company, is taking over as Managing Director. Now 43, he began his career at Securiton 17 years ago as a service technician and has continuously developed his skills through positions in product support, product management and as head of the Digital Office.

In a multi-stage selection process, which also included external reviews and an assessment, Benz impressed with his technical expertise, leadership experience and strategic perspective.

Volker Benz sees great potential for the future of the company, particularly in the areas of KRITIS, digitalisation, ERP modernisation and new business models.

‘The development opportunities for our company are enormous,’ says Benz. ‘I look forward to shaping the next steps together with our employees.’

Volker Benz, born in 1982, lives in Kappelrodeck near the company headquarters in Achern, is married and has two children.

Transparent transition in dialogue with the workforce

Back in the spring, Horst Geiser and Volker Benz visited all locations together to inform employees early on and in person about the upcoming change in leadership and the strategic direction.

Outlook

Daniel Liechti also congratulates Volker Benz on his new role: ‘We are convinced that Volker Benz, with his broad experience and clear vision for innovation, is the ideal choice for the future of the company.’
