October 14, 2022

The members of the Confederation of European Security Services (CoESS) today elected a new board. BDSW Vice President Friedrich P. Kötter was again elected 1st Vice President of the European umbrella organisation of private security services.
The board member of KÖTTER Security has been vice president since 2014, and he was already active on the board before that. He also heads the Airport Security working group of the CoESS. The rest of the CoESS board was also confirmed in office: Vinz van Es as Chairman, Eduardo Cobas Urcelay as 2nd Vice President and Johan Ohlsson-Malm as Treasurer were re-elected.

With his personal involvement in the CoESS, Friedrich P. Kötter wants to effectively represent German interests in the CoESS, which was founded in Rome in 1989. According to Kötter, this exchange gives the BDSW the opportunity to influence political decisions at European level and to receive and pass on information at an early stage.

CoESS is committed to the growth of the security industry and wants to provide customers with professional security solutions of high quality. The importance of modern security technology is growing. This was also shown by the focus of this year’s general meeting, which was on the topic of artificial intelligence. Here, CoESS is in close exchange with the European Parliament.
