Cyber certification obtained for several Hikvision products

August 6, 2025

Several Hikvision products have successfully obtained certification in accordance with the new European standard series EN 18031. The independent testing and evaluation was carried out by the Société Générale de Surveillance (SGS), a globally recognised provider of inspection, testing and certification services based in Switzerland. The certification is also recognised by an EU-notified body – a clear signal of Hikvision’s consistent commitment to cyber security and compliant product development.

EN 18031 specifies mandatory security requirements for wireless and IoT-enabled devices such as Wi-Fi cameras, 4G solutions, Bluetooth accessories and vehicle systems. Since January 2025, the standard has been mandatory for market access in Europe under the EU Radio Equipment Directive (CE-RED). With the certification now obtained, Hikvision meets these regulatory requirements early and comprehensively.

Focus on security, partnership and further development

Beyond mere compliance with standards, Hikvision continuously works with leading testing agencies to integrate technological developments and international security standards into its product architecture at an early stage. The company’s security strategy is based on a multi-layered protection model that encompasses device, network, application, data and operational security – across all phases of development, production and maintenance.

Commitment to global compliance

Hikvision is expressly committed to complying with all relevant national and international regulations. These include the European Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure (PSTI) Act, the Cybersecurity Labelling Scheme (CLS) in Singapore and the Japanese JC-STAR IoT labelling programme.

With its ongoing commitment to technological security, legally compliant processes and the development of a trustworthy digital ecosystem, Hikvision is positioning itself as a reliable partner for secure IoT and surveillance technologies in the international arena.
