Dallmeier UK Appoints New Management Team as James Walker Steps Down

November 5, 2026

German video security technology manufacturer Dallmeier electronic has announced a leadership transition at its UK subsidiary. After more than 25 years as Managing Director, James Walker has handed over operational responsibility to Steve Hodges, while Tracey Boon has been appointed Finance Director. The changes took effect on 1 November 2026.

Dallmeier UK has reorganised its management structure, appointing two long-serving employees to senior leadership positions. Steve Hodges, previously Operational Director, succeeds James Walker as Managing Director, while Tracey Boon moves from her position as Office & Account Manager to Finance Director.

The appointments represent an internal succession at the British subsidiary of Regensburg-based Dallmeier electronic, a manufacturer of video surveillance and security technology.

Walker has led Dallmeier’s UK operations for more than two decades, overseeing the establishment and development of its British sales organisation. During his tenure, the company expanded its presence in the UK security market and developed its local customer and partner relationships.

Although stepping down from day-to-day management, Walker will remain associated with the business in an advisory capacity, providing continuity during the transition.

Internal Appointments Ensure Management Continuity

Both incoming executives have extensive experience within Dallmeier UK. Hodges has most recently been responsible for operational management, while Boon’s previous position involved office administration and account management, providing her with knowledge of the company’s commercial processes and customer relationships.

Thomas Dallmeier, CEO of Dallmeier electronic, acknowledged Walker’s contribution to establishing the UK business and welcomed his continued involvement as an adviser. He also expressed confidence in the ability of Hodges and Boon to lead the organisation through its next phase.

The appointments indicate that Dallmeier intends to maintain continuity in its British operations rather than introduce a fundamental change in management direction. However, the company has not announced specific strategic initiatives, investment commitments or organisational restructuring measures associated with the transition.

UK Operations Remain Part of Dallmeier’s International Business

The leadership change comes as European security technology manufacturers continue to operate across markets with differing regulatory, commercial and operational requirements. For suppliers serving the UK, maintaining established customer relationships, technical expertise and local service capabilities remains an important consideration.

Dallmeier UK provides the manufacturer’s local presence in the British market, supporting the distribution and application of its video security technologies.

The succession places responsibility for the subsidiary’s day-to-day management with executives already familiar with its operations and customer base. Walker’s continued advisory role is expected to support the transfer of institutional knowledge and established business relationships.

Dallmeier has not disclosed financial performance figures for its UK subsidiary or provided additional details regarding future expansion plans in connection with the appointments.
