Egyptian residential developer ORA modernises access control with Nedap technology

January 8, 2026

Leading Egyptian property developer ORA has teamed up with Nedap to introduce a modern, integrated access control system for its residential complexes. The aim was to increase security, convenience and efficiency for residents, staff and visitors alike.

Uniform solution for vehicle, pedestrian and visitor access

The challenge of large, modern residential complexes lies in managing numerous access points for different user groups. ORA relied on Nedap technology to combine vehicle and pedestrian access as well as visitor management in one platform. The implementation was carried out in collaboration with integrator Hightech Nour, resulting in a consistently secure and user-friendly system.

Fast and contactless: vehicle access

With the Upass Go reader and UHF RFID vehicle tags, Nedap enables fast and contactless entry. Vehicles are automatically recognised and verified as they approach – there is no need to stop or show authorisations. This solution increases security and traffic flow while ensuring a smooth user experience for residents and staff.

Digital ID for doors and gates

For access to buildings and residential areas, the system offers digital authorisations on smartphones or authorised devices. Residents and staff are automatically recognised when they approach an access point and are granted access within seconds. The use of digital IDs replaces conventional keys or cards, simplifies administration and significantly increases security.

Efficient visitor management

The integrated visitor management system allows guests to easily pre-register via the mobile app. Visitors receive time-limited access authorisations via QR code or digital key. Vehicle access is controlled via NVITE, allowing registered guests to enter contactlessly and securely. All activities are documented in a traceable manner, optimising security and operational processes.

Mobile app: everything controlled centrally

Integration into ORA’s own mobile app allows all access rights – from vehicles to doors to visitors – to be managed directly from a smartphone. This creates a seamless, traceable and convenient user experience for residents and guests.

Result: Secure, efficient and future-proof

By implementing Nedap solutions, ORA has created a scalable, secure and user-friendly access system. The solution meets current requirements while providing a basis for future growth and innovation in community access management.

David Aindow, Chief Strategy Officer at Nedap, commented: ‘By combining vehicle, personnel and visitor management in one platform, large residential complexes such as ORA can increase their security standards while maximising convenience for residents.’
