Emergency call and service control centre integrates intelligent video surveillance

Intelligent video solutions make a significant contribution to maintaining a secure overview of the areas and objects to be protected. They support the security and guard personnel during operating hours with alarm and fault messages so that nothing goes unnoticed and dangerous situations can be counteracted as soon as they arise.

In parallel, the video system can be connected to a permanently manned emergency call and service control centre in order to relieve the on-site staff, e.g. when the documentation of visitors or admission controls require full attention at peak times. And on the other hand also outside operating hours: Here, a permanently manned emergency call and service control centre takes full control of what is happening if necessary, which the video security system reports fully automatically. 

Detailed video information for the control centre

Video security systems from Securiton use intelligent video analysis to automatically monitor property boundaries and facilities for unauthorised access or intrusion without any human intervention. If an event occurs, live data is immediately transmitted to our emergency call and service control centre. IPS technology transmits more than “just” a message. Basically, system operators decide which detailed information is to be transmitted. For this purpose, it is determined which scenarios are to run in the event of a message or which intervention measures are to be initiated. And subsequently also which data are transmitted in detail to the control centre for this purpose.

Information required to assess the situation

For example, thermal imaging cameras can secure property boundaries and not only live images are displayed during the alarm. In addition, the alarm history and the stored site plan are displayed in the system. In this way, they can immediately find their way around and clearly understand the cause of the alarm or malfunction. At the same time, the message releases associated moving cameras, so-called PTZ cameras, for control by the employee in the control centre. From this point on, he is also authorised to view the live images from the cameras.

But it is not only in the event of an alarm, e.g. unauthorised access, that the employees of the emergency call and service control centre are responsible for the customers and their video security system. Likewise, sabotage and malfunction reports are also transmitted to the control centre. This allows operators to be informed of any failures or malfunctions in good time and, likewise with their consent, to investigate them remotely – in the best case, to assess and rectify them directly. To ensure that your video security system is operating optimally and to save you from not noticing an incident due to a camera defect, for example.

The solution can avoid a possible overload of staff on site and also system failures and associated security breaches.
