EXPONATEC COLOGNE is going into hiatus in 2023

July 28, 2023

The international trade fair for museums, conservation and cultural heritage, EXPONATEC COLOGNE, is going into hiatus this year.

The decision to not carry out the trade fair in 2023 was made against the background of difficult economic basic conditions and too little potential, especially in the segment of museums and cultural institutions. The overall situation is currently causing uncertainty in the exhibition and restoration fields with regard to investments and innovations.

EXPONATEC COLOGNE was planned for 16 to 18.11.2023 in Cologne. The suspension of the trade fair this year enables a new positioning and conceptualisation of this event.

The facilities of Koelnmesse of course remain at the disposal of institutional partners who have already planned congresses and symposia for November.

EXPONATEC COLOGNE is a trade event that combines an exhibition, advanced training, and a technical event programme. It has taken place every two years in Cologne since 2004, most recently in 2021, when it provided 80 committed exhibitors a stage despite the uncertainties of a global pandemic.

Koelnmesse – Global Inspiration for Living, Contract and Public Spaces
