FPC AllKey Ultra Sets New Standards for Secure Biometric Authentication

Swedish biometrics specialist Fingerprint Cards AB (FPC) is expanding its successful AllKey product family with a new high-security model: FPC AllKey Ultra. Building on the strong market performance of the AllKey series launched in 2024, FPC now introduces an enhanced version featuring an integrated Secure Element (SE) – a dedicated hardware component designed to protect biometric data and cryptographic operations at the highest industry level.

Enhanced Security Architecture with Secure Element

The Secure Element serves as a tamper-resistant digital vault, securely storing highly sensitive information such as encryption keys or biometric templates. By integrating this technology, widely used in payment cards and other high-trust applications, FPC brings an added layer of protection to a broader range of security-critical use cases.

The inclusion of the SE not only strengthens the physical and logical security of devices but also enhances their resilience against cyberattacks and unauthorized data access.

“With FPC AllKey Ultra, we are taking the AllKey platform to the next level of security,” said Adam Philpott, CEO of Fingerprint Cards. “The system combines state-of-the-art protection standards with new form factors, opening up additional integration opportunities for our partners – from industrial applications to consumer devices.”

Flexible Integration for Diverse Applications

FPC AllKey Ultra supports both traditional surface-mount device (SMD) installation and, for the first time, side-mounted sensor modules. This flexibility is enabled by an ultra-thin sensor design, allowing seamless integration into compact products such as mobile devices, hardware tokens, and secure storage modules.

The solution addresses the growing demand for robust, easy-to-integrate biometric authentication across key markets, including:

  • Crypto wallets and digital identity solutions
  • FIDO tokens and passkey systems
  • One-time password (OTP) generators
  • Secure storage devices and industrial control systems

“FPC AllKey Ultra is a direct response to customer feedback,” said Fredrik Ramberg, Chief Product Officer at FPC. “Our partners value its ease of integration and reduced time to market. At the same time, it maintains the reliability, scalability, and high security levels they expect from FPC.”

Secure Authentication as a Cornerstone of Digitalisation

With FPC AllKey Ultra, the company reinforces its strategy to move further up the value chain by offering integrated, hardware-based security solutions. In an increasingly connected world, where the safeguarding of digital identities, data access, and online transactions is critical, protecting biometric data has become a core requirement.

By combining biometrics, cryptography, and hardware security within a single compact module, FPC AllKey Ultra provides a solid foundation for trusted authentication systems in industrial, governmental, and consumer applications alike.

Debut at Trustech 2025 in Paris

FPC will publicly debut FPC AllKey Ultra at Trustech 2025 in Paris this December – the leading global trade show for digital security and payment technologies. Visitors will be able to experience live demonstrations of the platform’s performance and discover its wide range of integration scenarios across commercial and industrial environments.
