Frequentis Deutschland GmbH has been awarded the contract for the planning and delivery of the operations and control centre system for the State Police of Thuringia. As general contractor, Frequentis is responsible for the installation and commissioning of all system components. These include the 3020 LifeX communication system from Frequentis, the operations control system from T-Systems Information Services GmbH, and the IT and network infrastructure provided by Siemens AG.

The integrated operations and control centre system will provide the Thuringian police with a uniform, standardised and future-proof solution for handling emergency calls and managing police operations in everyday service and special situations.

‘With the award of this contract, we have reached an important milestone in the implementation of the Thuringian police’s digitalisation concept. This is a major step towards modern, future-proof control centre technology. The new system will further optimise our operational coordination and thus ensure even better safety for the citizens of Thuringia,’ explains Thomas Quittenbaum, Vice President of the Thuringia State Police Headquarters. The integrated communication system is already prepared for connection to the future nationwide broadband digital radio network for authorities and organisations with security tasks.

‘As general contractor, Frequentis bears overall responsibility for the successful implementation of this important project. We are ensuring that all components of the operations and control centre system interact perfectly. With the technologically mature, highly available and secure solution we have been commissioned to deliver, we are supporting the digital transformation of the state police force in Thuringia,’ said Marcel Haar, Managing Director of Frequentis Deutschland GmbH.

This contract further strengthens Frequentis’ leading market position: police organisations in more than half of all German federal states already rely on the innovative technological and conceptual capabilities of the global group.
