Frequentis, a global provider of safety-critical applications for control centres, recorded double-digit growth for the fifth consecutive year in 2025. Revenue rose by 20.8% to EUR 580.1 million, whilst EBIT increased by almost half to EUR 46.8 million, with an EBIT margin of 8.1%. New orders received rose by 16.5% – or almost EUR 100 million – to EUR 680.2 million. And demand remains as high as ever: The order book has once again increased by over a third compared to the previous year’s figure, reaching almost EUR 800 million (EUR 794.9 million). In view of this high workload, the global workforce has been expanded by more than 200 employees.
“Our growth and profitability demonstrate that our business model is sustainable – particularly in challenging times. They reflect our innovative strength and our clear focus on operators of safety-critical control centres,” says Frequentis CEO Norbert Haslacher. “Above all, however, they are the result of the exceptional commitment of our approximately 2,600 employees worldwide. We would like to thank them for this, as well as our customers, partners and investors for their trust.”
For a safer world: Connected security & intelligent systems
In an increasingly unstable world, systems that function reliably even under difficult conditions are becoming ever more important. Frequentis is a global leader in this field, plays a central role in shaping global security infrastructures, and is helping to develop the frameworks and solutions of tomorrow. “We are not passengers; our place is in the cockpit. Our course: open standards and true interoperability – so that emergency services can collaborate across systems and borders,” sums up Frequentis CEO Norbert Haslacher. There are currently three major growth areas with potential:
Mission-Critical Services (MCX) represent a quantum leap for mission-critical communications among emergency services such as the police, fire services, ambulance services and public transport. Technologies such as TETRA or GSM-R no longer meet current requirements. MCX utilises 5G-based networks and ensures the real-time transmission of voice, data and video across national and organisational boundaries, using a standardised approach. Frequentis is already involved in large-scale implementations, such as the MCX rollout in the UK for around 300,000 emergency personnel.
The growing drone traffic is fundamentally changing airspace and placing new demands on safety and coordination. The drone ecosystem in Europe alone is estimated to be worth more than ten billion euros by 2030. Frequentis provides solutions for the safe monitoring and management of drones by combining traditional radar systems with intelligent sensor and detection technologies. By integrating safety-critical data and linking drone traffic management, air traffic control and operations management systems, Frequentis is strengthening its position in lower airspace management and the protection of critical infrastructure.
The Remote Digital Tower enables airports to remotely monitor air traffic management for civil and military users using cameras and sensors. Airport operators benefit from the centralised control of multiple airports and relief from staff shortages of air traffic controllers in remote areas. This technology has already been in use for several years in Germany, England and Brazil.
Proposal for another dividend increase, equity up
For the year 2025, consolidated profit amounted to EUR 33.7 million, with earnings per share at EUR 2.13.
Frequentis is proposing a further increase in the dividend this year to 30 cents (+11.1%). Equity rose to EUR 196.8 million, the equity ratio stood at 38.6%, and net assets amounted to EUR 104.7 million.
