New high-density appliance enables organisations to expand cloud-managed security architectures without cloud-only constraints or infrastructure replacement

Genetec Inc., a global provider of software solutions for enterprise physical security, introduces Genetec Cloudlink™ 2210, a new high-density appliance for large-scale enterprise environments.

Designed specifically for complex infrastructures, the cloud-managed appliance addresses key challenges in migrating to cloud-managed security models, including rising cloud storage costs, integrating existing devices without direct-to-cloud connectivity, and ensuring local operation during network outages.

With a stackable 2U rackmount form factor, the Cloudlink 2210 enables large enterprises to expand cloud-driven security architectures in business-critical high-density environments – without having to fundamentally replace or redesign existing infrastructures.

Consolidation instead of system fragmentation

Like all solutions in the Cloudlink series, the 2210 supports multiple security workloads in a single appliance, including video management, access control and intrusion detection technology.

By bundling these functions in one system, the solution reduces system fragmentation, simplifies management in large installations and significantly reduces operational overhead.

Unlike proprietary isolated solutions, the Cloudlink 2210 is based on an open architecture. It supports a wide range of third-party devices, including cameras, access control systems and intrusion panels. This allows companies to modernise within a unified cloud-managed model, securely integrate existing hardware and maintain architectural flexibility and business continuity.

> ‘Companies don’t want to choose between innovation and operational security,’ explains Christian Chenard-Lemire, Product Director Unified Solutions at Genetec. “With Cloudlink 2210, we are redefining what cloud-managed physical security looks like at scale. Organisations gain the freedom to modernise on their own terms, control costs over the long term, and ensure the necessary resilience for critical environments.”

Designed for scale and high device density

The Cloudlink 2210 supports several hundred connected devices per appliance and offers up to 240 TB of local storage per unit. This makes it particularly suitable for environments with high device density and long retention periods.

The architectural design minimises dependence on cloud storage and helps organisations control long-term storage costs while ensuring the performance and availability required in enterprise environments.

Hardware-based reliability

Security workloads continue to run locally – even when cloud connectivity is interrupted. Dual network interfaces provide additional redundancy and enable network segmentation to strengthen cyber security.

For environments where downtime is unacceptable, the Cloudlink 2210 features integrated hardware redundancy. RAID-protected storage architectures and redundant system components ensure data protection and operational reliability.

Scaling without infrastructure overhaul

The system scales modularly: additional units are added as requirements increase. This allows the number of devices and storage capacity to be expanded flexibly without having to rebuild existing architectures.

Centralised cloud management continues to ensure transparency and control across all locations.

Flexibility for integrators and enterprise projects

The Cloudlink 2210 is part of Genetec’s comprehensive deployment approach. The cloud-managed appliance portfolio allows companies to operate in on-premises, cloud or hybrid scenarios, depending on regulatory, operational or strategic requirements.

By combining powerful local processing and storage with centralised cloud management, the solution enables scalable cloud-managed architectures without compromising performance or control.

For channel partners, this approach opens up the implementation of large-volume, high-density projects within a consistent cloud framework. Integrators benefit from simplified installation, accelerated rollout times and predictable scalability. At the same time, strict retention policies and hybrid environments can be seamlessly combined with Security Centre SaaS.

Availability

The Genetec Cloudlink 2210 will be showcased at ISC West at booth #13062. Worldwide delivery through the network of accredited Genetec channel partners is scheduled for May 2026.
