Genetec Inc. has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Etimad Holding, a company of the Edge Group. The aim of the collaboration is to expand unified physical security solutions in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The agreement was officially signed at Intersec Dubai 2026. Firas Jadalla, Regional Director META, signed on behalf of Genetec, while Etimad was represented by CEO Saeed Juma Al Marashda.
Focus on modern and connected security structures
The strategic partnership aims to support public and private organisations in the United Arab Emirates in modernising existing security structures and improving their situational awareness and the protection of people, assets and critical infrastructure. By combining Genetec’s open, unified security platform with Etimad’s local market and project expertise, both companies aim to accelerate the adoption of standards-based security technologies.
The agreement provides for the joint delivery of comprehensive physical security solutions and the development of strategic projects that support companies in their transition from isolated, standalone solutions to integrated, data-driven security environments.
Transition from legacy systems to data-based platforms
According to Genetec, the cooperation will help replace fragmented legacy systems with modern, networked platforms. The aim is to strengthen the resilience of organisations, improve decision-making processes based on consolidated data, and increase operational visibility in complex security environments.
In addition, the collaboration is expected to unlock innovation potential in the field of networked security solutions that go beyond traditional security applications. This will enable organisations to respond more quickly to events, make more informed decisions and increase the value of existing security investments.
Contribution to national security and digitalisation goals
Etimad sees the partnership as a further step towards supporting the United Arab Emirates’ national security and infrastructure goals. The combination of international technology expertise and local know-how is expected to result in integrated end-to-end solutions for public authorities and private companies. These solutions are designed to improve transparency, coordination and responsiveness within complex security processes, while contributing to the country’s long-term economic and technological development.
