Günter Sandmann appointed new managing director at Kooi Security

Günter Sandmann joined Kooi Security Deutschland GmbH as Managing Director in March 2025. At the specialist for mobile video surveillance and early fire detection, he will be responsible for business in Germany and will also take over sales management for the DACH region. Frank Käferböck will remain in the management team as Managing Director of the national companies in Germany and Austria and will be responsible for operations and technology.

Günter Sandmann brings 35 years of experience in the software industry to the table and has held senior positions at various companies in the SAP environment, most recently as Senior Vice President EMEA at Avantra, a provider of AI-based automation solutions for IT operations. At Kooi Security, Sandmann will be responsible for driving the company’s growth in German-speaking countries in a massive and stable manner.

Kooi Security has been a pioneer in mobile video surveillance since 2010 and is one of the leading providers in Europe with a rental fleet of more than 8,000 systems. The company is active in 25 countries and operates three alarm centres of its own. The company’s solutions are used for the temporary security of traditional construction sites, wind and solar parks, infrastructure facilities and other properties, as well as for early fire detection in waste disposal and recycling plants.
