Hotel locking systems from SALTO for end-to-end digitalisation of hotels

January 15, 2024

SALTO Systems will be presenting its electronic hotel locking systems at INTERGASTRA and INTERNORGA in conjunction with a number of technology partners. The focus will be on the advantages of end-to-end digitalisation for hotels, in particular the optimisation of processes and the improvement of security.

At several stands at INTERGASTRA Stuttgart in Hall 4 and at INTERNORGA Hamburg in Hall A2, SALTO will be showcasing its versatile electronic access systems in seamless interaction with other providers of digital hotel solutions. These include hotel PMS, digital hotel services, kiosk systems as well as dispensing systems and vending machines.

Thanks to the digitalisation of processes, hoteliers can react in a targeted manner to the tight personnel market and also save costs in the long term. This is because integrated systems with functioning interfaces help to relieve employees of routine tasks, speed up processes and reduce errors.

SALTO contributes to this with its hotel locking systems, for example by automatically providing guests’ access rights based on the booking data from the PMS and the check-in information from the service app – as a digital key that guests can either use with their smartphone to open the door and/or encoded on an RFID keycard. The integrations ensure that all data is transferred in full and in real time and that the guest journey runs smoothly. This includes the entire building, including external doors, hotel rooms, car parks, spa and fitness areas as well as conference and event areas where applicable.

At the same time, SALTO access solutions increase the level of security in hotels. This is because the areas accessible to guests can be clearly separated from the back-of-house areas and access rights can be assigned at specific times and locations – for guests, employees and service providers. The days of master keys whose use cannot be traced are over, which also strengthens guests’ trust in their hosts.

Digital solutions make hotels more hospitable because personal contact with their guests no longer revolves around registration data or other repetitive tasks, but rather around the guests’ individual wishes. At the same time, hosts benefit from cost savings, as valuable working time is no longer wasted on organising keys or manually transferring guest data, but is used for the core business of courteous accommodation.
