Practical seminars on the safe use of ladders, steps and mobile scaffolding
The best place to learn how to use access technology safely is where it is used every day. That is why HYMER Steigtechnik no longer offers its training courses only at its site in Wangen, but also directly at companies throughout Germany. The practical seminars impart specialist knowledge in a compact and application-oriented manner – right in the middle of the participants’ everyday working lives.
‘Our goal is to make safety tangible – not in an abstract way in a training room, but in the real environment of our customers,’ explains Marcus Rieger, Area Sales Manager at HYMER-Steigtechnik and responsible for conducting the seminars throughout Germany. ‘This enables participants to identify typical weak points and sources of danger directly on their own equipment and at the same time gain confidence in dealing with the regulations.’
The training day combines a compact theory block with practical exercises. The HYMER-Steigtechnik team brings its own training ladders with them, which have various – sometimes hidden – damage. The participants examine the ladders, assess their condition and document any defects they find. This sharpens their eye for potential risks and develops a greater awareness of the responsible use of access technology.
Focus on legal certainty and practical benefits
The on-site seminars are aimed at people who are responsible for inspecting ladders, steps and mobile scaffolding within their company, such as occupational safety specialists, safety officers, master craftsmen or maintenance managers. In addition to the legal framework, the focus is on direct practical relevance: participants learn what to look for during visual and functional inspections, how to document defects correctly and what measures to take in the event of a defect.
Systematic safety – bookable nationwide
The content is based on applicable standards and regulations such as the German Industrial Safety Regulation (BetrSichV), the technical rules TRBS 2121-2 and DGUV Information 208-016. All participants receive a certificate documenting the expertise they have acquired. The dates can be arranged individually – the HYMER Steigtechnik team travels nationwide and adapts the seminar to the specific conditions at the company. In addition, association members in Germany can receive 2 continuing education credits from the VDSI (Association for Safety, Health and Environmental Protection at Work), in Austria from the VÖSI (Association of Austrian Safety Experts) and in Switzerland from the SGAS (Swiss Society for Occupational Safety) by submitting their confirmation of participation.
