At the Intersec 2026 security trade fair in Dubai (12–14 January), British security and video surveillance specialist Synectics will be focusing its exhibition stand on intelligent surveillance solutions. The company will demonstrate how modern video and analytics platforms can help improve security, operational efficiency and cyber resilience in demanding environments, including transport, energy supply, critical infrastructure, leisure and hospitality, and smart city projects.
Artificial intelligence at the heart of surveillance
The centrepiece of the trade fair presentation is the multi-award-winning video analysis platform Synergy Detect, which makes artificial intelligence specifically usable for security and operational applications. Operators can activate up to twelve AI analysis tools in parallel and flexibly adapt them to their requirements.
The range of functions extends from classic security analysis to comprehensive operational support. These include personal protective equipment (PPE) detection, fall detection, crowd analysis, intrusion and loitering detection, and behaviour-based evaluations. In public spaces and traffic environments, additional traffic analyses – such as vehicle classification, wrong-way driver detection and counting functions – provide valuable real-time information for greater safety and more efficient processes.
New intelligence directly in the camera
Another focus is on the further development of Synectics’ Coex and IP camera portfolios. The latest Coex camera models feature advanced, edge-based video analytics and integrated infrared illumination. This allows risks to be identified at an early stage and situations to be reliably captured even in poor lighting conditions.
The portfolio is complemented by new 4K and multi-sensor IP cameras, which enable greater detail and larger coverage areas. Operators benefit from this because more usable information can be captured with fewer cameras – a decisive factor for economical and powerful surveillance concepts.
Faster response through improved operational support
On the software side, Synectics is presenting new functions within the Synergy platform that support faster incident localisation and improved collaboration in control centres. The systems are designed to align operational procedures more closely with existing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and significantly reduce response times.
Another new feature is advanced mapping functions that allow events to be visualised geographically. Heat maps and hot spot analyses show where incidents are concentrated and how risks develop over time. By linking event data with precise coordinates, control centres gain a clearer picture of the situation and can identify potential problem areas at an early stage.
Focus on practical added value
‘Intersec is the ideal platform to showcase how far intelligent video surveillance has come – and how accessible these technologies are today,’ explains David Aindow, Chief Strategy Officer at Synectics. ‘Organisations no longer need more data, but rather the right insights at the right time. All the developments we are presenting are aimed at speeding up decision-making, improving collaboration and achieving secure results.’
With its combination of camera-internal AI, powerful video analysis and advanced visualisation, Synectics addresses the growing demands placed on modern security and surveillance solutions. The company’s presence at the trade fair underlines its commitment to helping customers identify risks at an early stage, better understand situations and act confidently in increasingly complex operating environments.
