January 27, 2023

Koelnmesse GmbH is the new organiser of PMRExpo. Oliver Freese, COO of Koelnmesse, and Michael Rosenzweig, Managing Director of PMeV – Netzwerk sichere Kommunikation and PMeV Services GmbH, have signed a cooperation agreement to this effect. PMeV is the initiator and conceptual sponsor of PMRExpo, which was first held in 2000. In 2009 it moved from Leipzig to Cologne. From PMRExpo 2023 onwards, Koelnmesse will act as host and organiser in equal measure.

PMeV and Koelnmesse want to further promote Europe’s leading trade fair

The joint goal of PMeV and Koelnmesse is to expand the important topic of secure communication to all relevant sectors in the context of digitalisation and to further promote the internationalisation of PMRExpo as the leading European trade fair for secure communication. To this end, Koelnmesse’s foreign network is also to be integrated. “The very positive course of PMRExpo 2022 strengthens the PMeV in its goals to keep PMRExpo on a continuous growth course after the corona-induced stopover, to professionalise it even further and, while maintaining its excellent brand core as the leading European trade fair for secure communication, to make it even more diverse and international”, explains Bernhard Klinger, Chairman of the PMeV Board. For the implementation of its goals, the PMeV has been able to gain a strong new event partner in Koelnmesse.

Koelnmesse is one of the best-known national and international trade fair companies in Germany. With 1,000 employees worldwide, it organises and manages around 80 trade fairs, guest events and corporate events in Cologne and in the most important foreign markets every year. These include leading global trade fairs such as Anuga, imm cologne, DMEXCO and ISM. From 2023 onwards, PMRExpo will also be part of this exclusive event portfolio under the non-material sponsorship of PMeV.
