Motorola Solutions acquires AI specialist Blue Eye

November 30, 2025

Motorola Solutions is further expanding its portfolio of AI-powered security applications with the acquisition of Utah-based provider Blue Eye, a leading specialist in AI-based remote video monitoring (RVM).

Blue Eye operates highly available, 24/7 security control centres that identify security-related situations in real time based on video analysis and intelligent event detection. The system enables direct voice announcements to deter potential perpetrators and provides verified alarm messages to mobilise emergency services more quickly. The platform is compatible with common cameras and video management systems, allowing it to integrate seamlessly into existing security infrastructures.

Blue Eye’s services have primarily been used in industries with heightened security requirements, including retail, logistics, manufacturing, critical infrastructure and commercial real estate. Companies benefit from an improved overview of the situation and analysis functions that reveal trends and security-related patterns.

Motorola Solutions plans to use the acquisition to link its own AI analysis tools even more closely with Blue Eye’s RVM platform. In future, for example, event detections from Motorola solutions will be transmitted directly to Blue Eye and then automatically fed into the Inform incident management platform. This will create a seamlessly integrated workflow – from detection and verification to response.

Motorola also intends to use its global partner network to expand Blue Eye’s market reach and position the technology more strongly in the enterprise sector. The goal is a fully integrated security ecosystem that enables companies to proactively and economically avert threats.

No financial details of the acquisition were disclosed.
