Motorola Solutions completes acquisition of Theatro

June 8, 2025

Motorola Solutions today announced that it has completed its acquisition of Theatro Labs, Inc. (‘Theatro’), a Richardson, Texas-based manufacturer of AI and voice-enabled communications and digital workflow software for frontline workers.

Theatro’s software-as-a-service platform, designed specifically for frontline workers, offers a suite of applications that deliver real-time information to improve productivity and safety. The platform is a powerful addition to the existing technology solutions Motorola Solutions offers to businesses. It helps streamline workflows and improve the safety of frontline workers, who make up 60% of the global workforce and number in the millions in North America alone.

Theatro already serves a number of well-known US retailers in a variety of retail categories. Motorola Solutions plans to integrate Theatro’s solutions into its broad technology portfolio, including bodycams, fixed video solutions, alarm buttons and two-way radios, to offer new total safety solutions and expand into industries such as hospitality, healthcare, manufacturing and education.
