Motorola Solutions has completed the acquisition of Theatro Labs, Inc. The Richardson, Texas-based company, which develops AI- and voice-driven communications and digital workflow software for frontline workers, complements Motorola’s existing security portfolio. Theatro’s SaaS platform delivers real-time collaborative applications that improve the productivity and safety of frontline workers – a segment that represents 60% of the addressable global workforce and tens of millions of workers in North America. The solution will enable new, value-added security applications in combination with body cameras, fixed video systems, panic buttons and two-way radios, and will support expansion in industries such as hospitality, healthcare, manufacturing and education. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
