New executive committee elected: Werner Landstorfer is president of the BDSW

May 22, 2025

The members of the BDSW (Federal Association of the Security Industry) have elected a new executive committee. With a clear majority (86 per cent), Werner Landstorfer, managing director of Securitas Germany, was appointed as the new president of the association.

Landstorfer succeeds Gregor Lehnert, who did not stand for re-election after twelve years at the helm and was appointed Honorary President of the BDSW. The new president is taking up his post with the motto ‘Better together’ – a clear signal for dialogue and cohesion within the industry.

‘I am extremely grateful for the trust placed in me by the members. The private security industry is a real economic force and an indispensable partner for security in Germany. We want to bring this role more strongly into the public debate – united, constructive and in close cooperation with all stakeholders,’ said Landstorfer after his election.

Strong team for association work

Landstorfer will be supported by experienced and new members of the Executive Committee. The following were confirmed in their positions as Vice-Presidents:

  • Gerhard Ameis, Managing Director of Nürnberger Wach- und Schließgesellschaft mbH
  • Rainer Ehrhardt, Managing Director of Apleona Security Services GmbH
  • Friedrich P. Kötter, Member of the Administrative Board of the KÖTTER Group

The following were newly elected to the Executive Committee:

  • Cornelius Toussaint, Managing Director of CONDOR Schutz- und Sicherheitsdienst GmbH
  • Rasmus Finn Wackerhagen, Managing Director of Kieler Wach- und Sicherheitsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG
  • Nora Rauch, Managing Director of VSU Vereinigte Sicherheitsunternehmen GmbH – and the first woman to hold the position of Vice-President

The previous Vice Presidents Lutz Kleinfeldt, Jens Müller and Andreas Segler have stepped down from the Executive Committee and were thanked for their many years of service.
