Martin Obholzer will take over as Head of the Public Sector segment at Cisco Germany on 1 July 2023. He will be responsible for sales and the further development of business with the federal government, federal states, public authorities, educational and healthcare institutions, political institutions and offices in Germany. As part of the German management team, he reports directly to Germany CEO Uwe Peter.

With Martin Obholzer, a true Cisco home-grown takes over one of the most important management positions in Germany. Obholzer started in 2010 in the Cisco Sales Associates Program (CSAP), the company’s internal training programme for sales employees. Since then, Obholzer has held various management positions at Cisco and was most recently responsible for key accounts in the Southern Germany region. Prior to that, Obholzer led the global Bosch account as a client executive, where he played a key role in driving their digital transformation. Obholzer’s predecessor Jonas Rahe left Cisco at the beginning of the year.

Martin Obholzer holds a Diploma in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from the University of Applied Sciences in Munich and a Master of Business Administration from the Technical University of Munich. Born in Bavaria, he lives with his family in Munich. Besides his family, he loves to spend time in nature riding his racing bike, hiking in the mountains or ski touring.
