NIS2 Compliance: S+P Offers Cybersecurity Training for Business Executives

October 30, 2026

As cybersecurity governance becomes an increasingly important responsibility for corporate management across Europe, Germany’s implementation of the NIS2 Directive has introduced mandatory training requirements for executives of affected organisations. To support companies in meeting these obligations, the S+P Unternehmerforum is offering a specialist online seminar covering management responsibilities, cybersecurity risk management and operational resilience. The next training session is scheduled for 16 November 2026.

Under Article 20 of the EU NIS2 Directive, management bodies of essential and important entities are required to undertake cybersecurity training. In Germany, these obligations are implemented through Section 38 of the Federal Office for Information Security Act (BSIG), which requires management to oversee cybersecurity risk management measures and participate in regular training. The legislation does not prescribe a fixed training duration or frequency, making appropriate course content and documented participation particularly important.

Practical training in cybersecurity governance and incident management

The one-day S+P seminar, NIS-2 for Executives 2026/2027, addresses three principal areas: management accountability and cybersecurity risk management, incident reporting and supply chain security, and business continuity planning. Participants will examine Germany’s NIS2 implementation requirements, reporting procedures for significant cybersecurity incidents and the organisational measures needed to strengthen resilience.

The live online course is intended for managing directors, board members, compliance officers, CISOs and IT risk managers. It provides six hours of professional training, supported by practical case studies and templates for risk assessments, incident escalation procedures and IT security strategies. Participants receive a certificate of attendance and a digital badge, although these do not constitute official certification by Germany’s Federal Office for Information Security (BSI).

The next session will take place on 16 November 2026, from 09:15 to 17:00 Central European Time. Additional dates are scheduled for January and March 2027. The participation fee is €930 plus applicable VAT.

Further information and registration are available through the S+P Unternehmerforum training programme.
