Optex presents perimeter security solutions

January 13, 2023

Optex and Fibersensys, both companies of the Optex Group, present solutions for perimeter protection and intrusion detection.

Optex will once again present the Lidar sensor series, which has a long range. The Redscan Pro series consists of two models, the RLS-3060V and the RLS-50100V, which offer a detection range of 30m x 60m and 50m x 100m respectively. It provides highly accurate detection outdoors and indoors without creating ‘gaps’ or decreasing detection reliability with range.

The rectangular detection patterns provide excellent coverage for virtual wall applications and for virtual planes to cover open areas, ceilings and roofs. Thanks to the innovative panoramic camera module, detection can be visually verified using pre- and post-event images and video stream recordings. With advanced analysis capabilities, a high level of network communication security and ONVIF Profile S compliance, the Redscan Pro is the ideal solution for protecting high-security sites.

Fibersensys presents an underground sensor solution with point location, the Terrain Defender 100. The TD100 offers a target detection of one metre and provides an additional level of precision and accuracy for the protection of demanding sites such as military and nuclear bases and VIP residences.

With Terrain Defender, a detection field of radio frequency (RF) energy is formed between two parallel leaky coaxial cables. Processors at both ends of this cable pair transmit and receive RF energy and form a bidirectional static field using end-to-end correlation (E2EC). E2EC is a technology developed and patented by Fibersensys that dramatically increases the performance and reliability of buried RF sensors, making the Terrain Defender the highest performing buried sensor on the market, according to the company.
