Access technology bridges the gap between physical and digital security

From 25 to 26 June 2025, PCS Systemtechnik will be presenting its forward-looking solutions for physical security at the Security Expo in Munich (Hall 1, Stand C08). The focus will be on systems for access control, video surveillance and visitor management – also as central components for securing IT and OT systems. The technical presentation ‘New regulations for NIS-2 and KRITIS – are you aware of the key role of access control?’ will explore this topic in greater depth. PCS will once again be represented in 2025 together with technology partner ASTRUM IT and the visitor management solution VISIT.

IT and OT security begins with physical protection

Securing IT and OT systems involves more than just firewalls and updates – physical protection also plays a key role in ensuring reliability and operational continuity. Access control systems from PCS make a decisive contribution here by preventing unauthorised access, manipulation or sabotage by unauthorised persons. PCS will demonstrate this at the Security Expo with current products and solutions for physical security, such as the ID.mobile smartphone app as a digital door opener, the radio-networked INTUS Flex locking systems, vandal-proof access readers, also for metal environments or telecommunications cabinets, and the INTUS PS biometric hand vein recognition system for high-security areas. The portfolio is complemented by the Hexagon HxGN dC3 Video video management system for professional video surveillance and video cameras from Axis Communications.

Scalable access and time recording with DEXIOS

The basis of any physical security architecture is a powerful software solution. With the web-based DEXIOS platform, PCS offers a modern cloud solution with an intuitive user interface, automated workflows and modular functions for access control, alarm management, ID card creation, site plans and visitor management. Thanks to standardised API interfaces and certified SAP connectivity, DEXIOS can be seamlessly integrated into existing IT infrastructures.

PCS co-exhibitor ASTRUM IT showcases the latest visitor management

PCS will once again be exhibiting alongside its technology partner ASTRUM IT in 2025, showcasing the latest version of the VISIT visitor and yard management system. The GDPR-compliant solution digitises the entire visitor and delivery process – from pre-registration of visitors, external companies and suppliers to departure from the premises. Experience a digital gate including ID scanning, verification and ID card issuance on site. You can complete the self-registration process, including safety instructions, on the interactive display of the modern kiosk terminal. The combination of VISIT with the PCS software DEXICON enables a well-thought-out security concept including access control.

Technical presentation at the trade fair

Interested visitors can also find out more about the bridge function of access control for IT and OT systems in the trade fair’s lecture programme. PCS Senior Key Account Manager Jochen Klein will give a presentation on ‘New regulations for NIS-2 and KRITIS – are you aware of the key role of access control?’ The presentation will take place on Wednesday, 25 June 2025, from 11:15 to 11:45 a.m.

PCS Systemtechnik GmbH cordially invites all interested parties to visit the SicherheitsExpo 2025 at the MOC Munich. The trade fair will take place from 25 to 26 June 2025. Tickets and further information are available at: www.pcs.com/termine.
