Cybersecurity for SMEs: Updated endpoint security with comprehensive enterprise-level features

New features: Fault root cause analysis, IoC scanning and block function in Cloud Discovery

Kaspersky is introducing a new version of its endpoint security solution with comprehensive enterprise-level features for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The new features of Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud Pro [1] include root cause analysis, cloud detection and blocking, data discovery, and integrated cybersecurity training for IT administrators. The cloud-based and versatile solution is also easy to use and empowers SMEs to protect their business accordingly without additional investment.

Kaspersky’s latest IT Security Economics Report [2] on the state of IT security in companies shows that companies in Germany want to increase their security budgets by up to 8 percent in the next three years. The decisive factors are the increasing complexity of the IT infrastructure as well as the need to strengthen cyber security expertise in one’s own company.

The new version of Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud Pro meets precisely these corporate requirements. It offers SMEs a wealth of opportunities to improve their own cybersecurity and train IT staff with advanced technologies. The cloud-based solution also allows businesses to manage their cybersecurity from one console with many automated deployment scenarios, without the need for investment in hardware or a complicated deployment process.

Integrated training programme for IT professionals

The Cybersecurity Training for IT Administrators is an interactive training programme to build solid cybersecurity and first-level incident response skills for all IT professionals. The training includes theoretical content, interactive tasks with various simulations, and certification. Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud Pro’s comprehensive training programme includes the following six modules:

  • Malicious Software;
  • Potentially unwanted programs and files;
  • Basics of investigation methods;
  • Incident response to phishing attacks;
  • Server Security;
  • Active Directory Security

According to Kaspersky’s product usage statistics, Active Directory Security, Investigative Methodology Basics and Malicious Software were among the three most popular cybersecurity training modules completed by IT administrators last year. With the integration of this solution into Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud Pro, organisations now have the opportunity to receive comprehensive cybersecurity training – without incurring additional costs in the form of separate training programmes for IT specialists.

Root cause analysis, IoC scanning, and cloud and data discovery for enhanced cybersecurity.

Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud Pro offers a wide range of features that make it easy to control and improve cybersecurity infrastructure via the cloud – from any location and endpoint.

Fault root cause analysis and IoC scanning to defend against unknown threats are among the enterprise-level cybersecurity features that provide users with threat visibility, simple investigation tools and automated responses to discovered risks. They also reveal the full extent of the threat and its origin so that consequences can be mitigated quickly.

To prevent data breaches and other cybersecurity incidents from third-party cloud services and apps, users can use the Block feature in Cloud Discovery. This feature can be used to investigate potential shadow IT within the organisation, ensure control over the infrastructure and restrict unauthorised cloud services or selected users on the network.

The Data Discovery feature allows organisations to use pre-built templates to identify confidential and sensitive information related to personally identifiable information (PII) and payment data. In addition, users can now share shared data across Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint Online with the appropriate level of access (public, corporate, private) and perform error correction to maintain data integrity and meet compliance objectives.

“As teams and employees increasingly work from different locations, businesses are turning to cloud-based solutions – including cybersecurity,” said Kirill Litvin, senior product marketing manager at Kaspersky. “With Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud, businesses can be confident that all endpoints are protected, no matter where they are. In addition, our training courses are a good complement to the product, as we are convinced that many IT administrators responsible for the IT infrastructure of SMEs are interested in developing their cyber security skills and expanding their expertise through training programmes. So with Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud Pro, a company gets two solutions in one: cyber protection available anytime, anywhere, and a boost to the expertise of IT professionals.”
