EuroCIS, The Leading Trade Fair for Retail Technology, will once again become a hub of innovation from February 18 to 20, 2025. At the EuroCIS Start-up Hub in Hall 10 of the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre, up-and-coming companies will present their innovative developments and solutions that improve both technological efficiency and the customer experience in retail. From AI applications to intelligent labeling technologies, the Start-up Hub showcases the diversity and potential of the start-up ecosystem. The companies will be presenting their innovations both at their stands and on the start-up stage in lectures and on the basis of real-life use cases.
Here are brief portraits of the start-ups:
Active Label
Active Label is a start-up that develops smart labeling solutions for monitoring temperature-sensitive products such as food and pharmaceuticals. The label is activated by means of AV light and then continuously records environmental variables such as temperature or humidity during transport and distribution. The labels are free of electronics, cost-effective, environmentally friendly and can be easily integrated into logistics processes. The data is collected via a reader and stored in the cloud for real-time access.
bitHuman
bitHuman focuses on interaction between humans and technology through AI-driven, life-like agents that synthesize real-time emotions and movements. These innovative agents are used in industries such as retail, hospitality and healthcare to improve customer experience and make processes more efficient. With cutting-edge AI technology, bitHuman enables the development of autonomous agents that independently perform tasks and provide natural, human communication.
BRAME
BRAME, a SaaS martech company, offers solutions for gamification marketing. With its drag-and-drop gamification builder, BRAME enables users without programming or design skills to quickly implement scratch cards and quizzes in marketing campaigns, for example. This increases customer retention, conversion and loyalty in competitions, content, promotions and loyalty programs.
Bretton Woods digital AG
Bretton Woods digital specializes in the development of secure, efficient and legally compliant solutions in the field of digital assets. The focus is on the tokenization of gold, which enables companies and institutions to make digital gold payments in real time and worldwide. Freshflow
Worldwide, approximately 40 percent of food is wasted, and retailers lose 15 percent of fresh produce due to poor forecasting. Freshflow’s goal is to replace guesswork with accurate forecasting while delivering measurable financial and operational improvements. This enables food retailers to increase profits and reduce write-offs of fresh produce. Freshflow’s AI-driven solution optimizes ordering and replenishment, which can reduce waste by up to a quarter.

To lower the barriers to entry into the world of digital currencies, Kurant has built a network of over 320 Bitcoin ATMs in Germany, Austria and Spain. The company aims to be a user-friendly and trustworthy alternative to complex online platforms by enabling the purchase of Bitcoin with cash. Kurant describes itself as the market leader in Europe and focuses on personal customer care and secure transactions.
PAYLIN
PAYLIN develops innovative self-checkout systems based on computer vision and AI that fully automate the checkout process. With over six years of experience and two patented technologies, PAYLIN eliminates manual scanning, minimizes human error and product loss, and increases customer satisfaction.
Pelora
Pelora offers an indoor localization solution that enables highly accurate location tracking of Bluetooth-enabled devices, including smartphones. Tracking is possible both with and without special apps on customer devices. This allows retailers to gain real-time insights into movement patterns to optimize product placement. At the same time, they can offer location-based services and marketing via an app. Tracking scanners or goods via tags can also improve operational efficiency and security in the store.
Pi-xcels
Pi-xcels is a technology company specializing in digital receipt issuance, offering retailers, businesses and other organizations that use receipts an environmentally friendly alternative to paper receipts. With just a tap, brick-and-mortar retailers can issue paperless, interactive electronic receipts to their customers via smartphone.
Quinyx
Quinyx offers workforce management software. The cloud-based solution supports companies in staff deployment planning, time tracking, internal communication, onboarding and task management . Automation and AI-based forecasting optimize plans, saving labor costs and time.
retailflow
With retailflow, brick-and-mortar retailers who sell products that require explanation can independently create a “digital sales assistant” that uses a smartphone to educate customers about all product details and make the purchase decision easier. The software consists of a content management system (CMS) and a web app. A web app for customers is automatically generated from the content entered in the CMS.
TareTag
TareTag digitizes the flow of goods from the manufacturer to the kitchen at home. Every container can become a legally compliant packaging for every product in every quantity. All containers or cloth bags are provided with a QR code that allows the consumer to retrieve information about the content and container via an app. This means that suitable disposable containers can be refilled multiple times.
vaibe
vaibe helps companies achieve their goals more efficiently by gamifying retail KPIs. The white-label gamification app enables software providers to expand their offerings with a solution that promotes employee engagement, fun, productivity and efficiency. The platform can be easily integrated into existing systems and transforms routine tasks into engaging, goal-oriented activities.
About EuroCIS 2025:
