Aperio® H100 now also available in black: elegant digital access control in a new design

March 30, 2025

ASSA ABLOY Sicherheitstechnik GmbH is expanding its Aperio® range with a new colour variant of the award-winning, wireless H100 door handle. In addition to the existing matt chrome finish, the popular model is now also available in black. The new variant combines the proven security and convenience of digital access control with a modern, elegant design.

The Aperio® H100 combines the performance and flexibility of wireless access control with a multi-award-winning design. The German Design Council named the slim door handle the winner of the Iconic Awards: Innovative Interior, and at the Detektor International Awards, it was honoured as a ‘brilliant example of excellent product design’ in the identity and access control category. Now available in black, the minimalist design language of the H100, which has already established itself in numerous design-oriented environments across Europe, is shown off to even greater effect.

Easy retrofitting for more security on interior doors

In addition to its attractive appearance, the battery-operated, electronic Aperio® H100 also impresses with its pronounced adaptability in the new colour variant. Compatible with most common European (DIN) and Scandinavian mortise locks in wooden, steel, tubular frame or glass doors with standard lock cases, the smart lever handle is the ideal retrofit solution for more security in offices, storage rooms, archives and conference rooms. Good to know: installation is possible without cables or extensive drilling, and existing mechanical cylinders can continue to be used. The door handle is available for right and left mounting on doors between 35 mm and 80 mm thick, optionally in U-shape and with USB adapter.

Seamless integration into existing access systems

Just as easy and seamless as the physical installation is the integration into a wide and growing range of third-party access and security systems. All Aperio components are designed according to open standards and can be integrated into security and building management solutions from over 130 different OEMs.

Versatile and widely compatible

The option of operating the Aperio® H100 as part of an online system or as an offline solution offers additional flexibility. The Aperio® H100 also impresses in terms of connectivity. In addition to common RFID technologies such as iCLASS®, Seos®, MIFARE® and DESFire, the door handle is equipped for mobile access solutions via NFC and BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy).
