Axis Communications launched AXIS C1610-VE Network Sound Projector, a robust, smart and easy-to-integrate all-in-one sound system for indoor and outdoor use.
Winner of the Red Dot Award for its elegant, minimalist design, AXIS C1610-VE Network Sound Projector is particularly suitable for application scenarios where aesthetics and clear intelligible voice messages are key aspects. With an IK10-rated impact-resistant housing – equivalent to 20 joules or the drop of a 5-kilogram weight from a height of 0.4 metres – the unit is extremely robust and protected against vandalism. The loudspeaker can be mounted on walls, poles or even ceilings and is also suitable for outdoor use at temperatures ranging from -40 to +55°C.
It is pre-configured with a digital signal processor (DSP) for excellent sound and has numerous intelligent features, including a built-in microphone for remote status testing and two-way audio communication, I/O ports for integration with additional systems and devices, and an integrated LED for visual status indication. This makes it possible to play safety, warning and operational information as well as voice messages and notices clearly and understandably – and even play background music. An integrated memory supports both pre-recorded and live announcements to respond to different scenarios in real time.
The use of open IP standards also makes it possible to integrate the loudspeaker into access control systems, to include it in analysis functions and to link it to VoIP telephony with SIP support. It is therefore a flexible, scalable and overall cost-effective audio solution.
The integrated AXIS Audio Manager Edge audio management software makes it easy to manage the audio system from any standard browser: Scheduling, zoning and prioritisation of different voice announcements, as well as user permissions, can be fine-tuned for different situations, either locally or remotely. Pre-recorded announcements can be scheduled or broadcast live and linked to other network devices, such as network cameras, which use analytics to trigger relevant messages in case of specific events.
