The payment expert presented the new CASHINFINITY™ generation CI-X at the retail trade fair. GLORY also explores the question of what the checkout will look like in the (near) future.
At EuroShop, GLORY showed solutions that are both future-proof and holistic – technologies that support retailers with current and future challenges in various areas, from the checkout zone to the back office. Among other things, the payment expert presented the CI-X series, the new generation of CASHINFINITY™ cash management solutions. Under the motto “NEXT CHECKOUT – WHEN CHOICE MATTERS”, the GLORY trade fair stand illustrates how CI-X brings together previously isolated cash processes in a targeted manner and how the checkout can be designed to be as versatile as possible in order to respond to changing customer wishes.
Responding flexibly to changing customer expectations
Shopping and payment habits have changed in recent years. Consumers today have higher expectations of bricks-and-mortar retail and demand convenient services. Increasing digitalisation is essential for many retailers to remain competitive. At the same time, the wishes of customers vary greatly, depending on age group, shopping situation or individual preferences. Thus, cash continues to play a relevant role as an unchanged popular means of payment. Cash management systems are therefore a central instrument for meeting different needs, enabling a varied checkout zone and at the same time significantly increasing the efficiency of internal processes.
CI-X: Integrated and efficient cash management solutions
GLORY’s CASHINFINITY range is firmly established in the retail environment and comprises market-leading solutions for automated cash management in the front and back office. The current generation CI-X has been further developed especially with a view to new challenges and on the basis of customer feedback. The solutions give retailers even more options to individually adapt their cash handling to the respective processes and requirements.
The compact CI-10X cash recycler enables convenient and contactless cash payments at the POS. Extended functions and improved components provide an additional plus in flexibility, security and efficiency. New features include an integrated safe, serial number recognition for increased protection against counterfeit money, automatic pick-up scheduling for transport and filling operations, and the ability to open the back of the CI-10X. Configurable screens also enhance the customer experience. Design options such as interchangeable fronts facilitate integration into existing shop concepts.
The CI-100X back-office system speeds up cash processes in the cash office – such as end-of-day or end-of-shift accounting and the preparation of cash transports. The high-speed, high-capacity cash recycler is a flexible and scalable solution that can be adapted to different workflows. Combined with the CI-10X, it creates a closed cash cycle that eliminates cash handling by staff, saves valuable resources and reduces the risk of errors and cash losses.
The CI-SERVERX cash management software optimises cash processing in the front and back office. It provides real-time device updates and status information, as well as a clear view of cash levels across the shop.
Remote monitoring and management of all devices across stores, as well as additional business intelligence, is also provided by the secure and cloud-based UBIQULAR™ solutions, which enable decisions to be made based on data-driven insights.Ten years of CASHINFINITY GLORY has already been successful in Germany for a decade with the CASHINFINITY series and supports a large number of well-known customer:s in efficient cash processing. “Entering the retail business was a conscious and strategically important decision,” recalls Oliver Kapahnke, Managing Director GLORY Germany. “We recognised the potential of the retail environment early on and set ourselves the goal of offering a comprehensive portfolio of cash management systems that covered almost all retail requirements right from the market launch. In addition to the CI-X product line, GLORY showed other innovative solutions for retailers at EuroShop 2023. These included, for example, kiosk terminals for individual click-and-collect as well as pre-order offers. The central and connecting theme of the GLORY trade fair stand was the checkout of the future. Despite new challenges, how do retailers succeed in designing an efficient and appealing checkout zone that offers as good a shopping experience as possible for all customers? Future-proof checkout solutions are not only fast, simple and secure, but above all flexible. Hybrid models, which can include self-service offers as well as traditional staff-operated checkouts, fulfil different customer wishes and are therefore particularly promising.
