NovoFire Steel with maintenance-free weld-on hinge / High design quality for demanding building construction / Transparent fire doors with many options
When building security and aesthetics are more important, tubular frame doors are often the first choice due to their robustness and elegance. Novoferm is now further expanding its tubular frame door segment and adding the NovoFire Steel steel frame doors to its NovoFire range. The smoke and fire protection system made of steel scores with a fire resistance duration of 30 minutes and at the same time offers an architecturally sophisticated solution for commercial construction. The doors are based on a modular system which, in the new steel version, allows an even wider range of variants.

Variety in equipment
Since this year, Novoferm, as one of the leading European system suppliers of door and gate solutions as well as loading and logistics systems, has been producing two new steel tubular frame doors with its own components in Germany. As the approval holder, the company has developed a wide range of equipment components for the elegant door model. These include the newly developed, maintenance-free, two-dimensional weld-on hinges and a variety of different glazing options. This is complemented by a tested lock programme ranging from regular single-latch deadbolts to multi-point locks and self-locking panic locks. In addition, the automation of the doors with several systems has been tested and approved.

Product line in two versions
The new product line is available in two versions: as NovoFire Steel RS and NovoFire Steel T30. The NovoFire Steel RS is characterised by stable steel profiles with a construction depth of 65 mm and a material thickness of 1.8 mm as a reliable system. A specially developed multi-functional groove allows fittings to be mounted quickly using a clamping plate, and fine adjustment of the fittings is also possible later at any time. The hole pattern in the functional groove also facilitates assembly and glue-free assembly of the smoke protection elements.
The NovoFire Steel T30 also has some practical details with the same basic depth. The multi-functional groove also enables the simple attachment of different fittings. A perforated structure in the profile groove minimises warpage and guarantees dimensional stability in case of fire. There is great scope for design in terms of appearance: glazing and glass retaining strips can be combined with each other in numerous variants and enable an individual, harmonious overall appearance.
While the new NovoFire Steel RS smoke protection door is available immediately, the T30 fire protection door will be launched in the fourth quarter of 2023.
