Wanzl Access Solutions at BAU 2023 in Munich: Complete Access Control – anytime, anywhere

“Complete Access Control – anytime, anywhere” – under this motto, Wanzl invites visitors to the world’s leading trade fair BAU from 17 to 22 April 2023 in Hall B3, Stand 519 in Munich. The innovation leader for high-quality security products will be presenting the wide range of areas of application and possible uses of its access solutions in the three different areas of inventory protection, fitness and facility management. The focus will be on the elegant Galaxy Gate 1.1 access gate and how it can be used together with metal detectors from CEIA and a hardware detection unit from Logivations for theft protection.

Inventory Protection – Secure detection of anything

In order to protect against unauthorised access, the carrying of unauthorised items or the theft of materials and goods, security requirements are often the top priority when entering and leaving companies. However, both employees and guests should not feel controlled, but always welcome. The unique product combination of access systems from Wanzl with metal detectors from CEIA and software from Logivations can guarantee this. The reliable Galaxy Gate 1.1 access gate combines convenience and functionality with the highest level of security. After the authorised release impulse, for example by RFID scanner, barcode or QR code reader, the gate opens its ESG swing arms and ceiling sensors additionally scan person and behaviour patterns and supervise a flawless process. When it comes to identifying objects, the SMD601 Plus Profiling metal detectors from CEIA GmbH are used in combination with a hardware detection unit from Logivations GmbH. These can be easily linked to the Wanzl Galaxy Gates 1.1 and locate the smallest metal concentrations on the bodies of people who enter the building or the security area through the access gates. If there is a difference in the previously detected metal quantities when leaving, this is detected and localised with high precision and a follow-up check can take place. Furthermore, the Galaxy Gate 1.1 immediately closes the passage. An efficient new method for protecting inventory differences.

Fitness – Work out anytime you want

24-hour access to the gym – a service that is becoming increasingly attractive in the often tightly scheduled everyday life of working people. At BAU, Wanzl Access Solutions will be demonstrating how this can be achieved without significantly higher staffing costs and shift work. With the Sirio turnstile, Wanzl offers an elegant access solution for the entrance area that guarantees the highest level of passage comfort and is especially suitable for separating people. Depending on the requirements of the studio operator, release is possible via card reader, coin checker, control panel or ticketing system. The Galaxyport as an optional extension enables barrier-free access with its ESG swivel arms. Access opens in two directions either via the control panel or an RFID reader integrated in the glass dome.

The integrated sensor system detects in which direction the ESG swivel arm has to release the passage. At BAU, Wanzl is also presenting the V17 terminal as a reliable access control system. In combination with web-based control software, it is convincing in use for autonomously operated WC facilities, among other things. Thanks to the web-based application, any number of accesses can be managed independently with just one V17 terminal. Due to their compact design and variable usability, EasyGo turnstiles have proven to be a secure access system. Release is possible either via card reader, coin checker, control panel or ticketing system.

Facility Management – Smooth access anywhere

Office complexes, hospitals, banks or insurance companies – they all register a high number of people daily. In addition to convenient and fast access to the building, individual security aspects must also be taken into account. The elegant Galaxy Gate 1.1 access gate combines these requirements down to the smallest detail. It is easy to operate, absolutely reliable and can be stylishly adapted to the respective corporate CI. Galaxy Gates 1.1 are equipped with integrated, intelligent sensor technology. This sensor technology detects when a person is trying to gain unauthorised access. With the interactive terminal V21, Wanzl is demonstrating at BAU how visitor management can be controlled easily and autonomously. People registered in advance or spontaneous visitors can easily obtain their access authorisation here. There is a wide choice of release units for authorised access, for example by means of barcodes, vouchers or RFID cards. The Galaxy Gate 1.1 scans these, the software-monitored, electromotive ESG swing arms open immediately and the guests can enter. This is how smooth and secure access works.
