At EuroCIS 2025, Sensormatic Solutions, the leading global retail solutions portfolio from Johnson Controls, is presenting an impressive range of groundbreaking technologies designed to significantly reduce shrinkage while improving the shopping experience in modern stores. The company is setting new standards in environmental friendliness and efficiency with the innovative, acousto-magnetic SPX AM label, in which conventional polystyrene has been replaced by an FSC®-certified, renewable material. This offering is complemented by the enhanced cloud-based Shrink Analyzer, which uses RFID and EPC data to analyze previously unsupervised areas of the store to precisely identify sources of loss. In addition, strategic collaborations with INEO and Solink underscore the company’s commitment to combining state-of-the-art loss prevention technologies with innovative communications and analytics solutions – all with the goal of optimizing in-store operations and creating a consistent, improved customer experience.
Sensormatic Solutions, the global retail solutions portfolio of Johnson Controls, is presenting a range of groundbreaking technologies at EuroCIS 2025 that not only significantly reduce shrinkage but are also designed to sustainably improve the shopping experience in modern shops. At the center of these innovations are the sustainable SPX AM label, the advanced cloud-based Shrink Analyzer and strategic technology partnerships with INEO and Solink. Sensormatic Solutions has replaced conventional polystyrene in the patent-pending, acousto-magnetic SPX AM label with a renewable material certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®). The label is manufactured using environmentally friendly processes and comes in recyclable packaging, with a design that is over 90% plastic-free and consists primarily of renewable materials, making a significant contribution to reducing environmental impact. The label’s built-in waste-reducing material innovations minimize waste during the manufacturing process, meeting the call for responsible retailing, while the flexible design of the SPX AM Label covers a wide range of packaging formats – even hard-to-label items are effectively protected without compromising the shopping experience. At the same time, the SPX AM label can be seamlessly integrated into the existing AM solution ecosystem and offers the same high level of protection as previous solutions.
The new and improved cloud-based Shrink Analyzer significantly expands loss prevention capabilities by integrating previously unsupervised areas of the store using RFID and Electronic Product Code (EPC) data. This enhanced functionality provides detailed insights into a range of critical areas. For example, precise identification of inventory differences in the receiving area enables faster tracking of potential losses, such as those resulting from supplier fraud, which in turn reduces administrative errors and speeds up the availability of goods ready for sale. Similarly, strategically placed RFID systems at employee entrances and exits help detect internal theft by providing item-level evidence that is invaluable in solving “sweethearting” or organized retail crime (ORC). By integrating the Shrink Analyzer with other connected systems, patterns can also be identified between internal processes and external factors, not only improving the accuracy of in-store e-commerce transactions but also precisely identifying employee theft and other loss scenarios. In addition, Shrink Analyzer supports the early detection of manipulated goods and discrepancies in shops where specific loss prevention strategies are necessary – for example, in self-checkouts or changing rooms – enabling a comprehensive analysis of shrink beyond the store exit and providing retailers with significant support in their daily work to optimize inventory management.
Another key innovation is the strategic collaboration with INEO, which combines Sensormatic Solutions’ market-leading loss prevention technologies with INEO’s immersive digital display technology. INEO’s patented technology enables a store-as-a-media model in which consumer goods brands (CPG) can target their customers at key touchpoints in the customer journey and motivate them to buy. A special signal shielding technology ensures that EAS labels and digital displays do not affect each other’s performance, while new item-level analytics provide even greater visibility into shrink. This gives retailers deeper insights into loss events, enabling them to reduce out-of-stocks and more effectively combat organized crime. In addition, the integration of video surveillance, supported by integrated cameras, is used to document incidents and improve the evidence, which is an important building block in theft prevention. This innovative combination not only supports loss prevention, but also optimizes the way customers are addressed and promotes a consistent brand experience throughout the store.
Complementing these technologies, Sensormatic Solutions is strategically partnered with Solink. Solink’s cloud-based analytics platform combines video, artificial intelligence (AI) and big data analytics to detect suspicious activity in real time. Instant alerts help identify risks faster, while video integration aids investigations and improves collaboration with law enforcement. Retailers benefit from automated risk detection that significantly reduces manual effort, enabling even more efficient detection and mitigation of risks in the store environment and further enhancing retail security.
At EuroCIS 2025, Sensormatic Solutions is presenting a range of groundbreaking innovations that have the potential to permanently change the face of modern retail. The sustainable SPX AM label sets new standards in environmental friendliness and efficiency, while the enhanced Shrink Analyzer enables seamless monitoring of shrinkage through precise data collection and analysis. The strategic collaborations with INEO and Solink also underscore the commitment to combining loss prevention technologies with innovative communication and analytics solutions – always with the goal of improving the shopping experience and optimizing store operations. Visitors to EuroCIS 2025 will have the opportunity to experience these advanced technologies live at Stand 9-B22 and see for themselves the many benefits they offer for modern retail.
