Quanika made its Middle East debut at Intersec 2023

February 27, 2023

At Axis Communications’ booth S1-G14, Quanika showcased its Enterprise access control and visitor management software, which integrates seamlessly with Axis’ full range of software and hardware, as well as other third-party systems. Visitors to the show will be able to experience a comprehensive next-generation security and safety management solution through a single user interface.

Quanika, a certified Axis Communication Technology Integration Partner (TIP), has a rapidly growing user base worldwide using a more viable, affordable migration path away from legacy, isolated systems and technology stacks. Quanika’s integration model combines the affordability of off-the-shelf products with the ability to customise whenever needed, and leverages the power of enterprise databases – including Microsoft Active Directory – to help customers run their sites more securely and efficiently.

At Intersec, visitors could see Quanika using Axis’ powerful A1601 door controller and commissioning the Axis Camera Station VMS to expand surveillance capabilities with an unlimited number of cameras and devices. The Quanika team will also be on hand to demonstrate the functionality of the latest range of Axis cameras. The range includes dedicated LPR cameras that use Vaxtor’s optical character recognition (OCR) to achieve over 99% accuracy in reading number plates, making security operations and site management more efficient.

Quanika Enterprise, which supports up to 150,000 cardholders per controller, is ideal for larger and multi-site applications in the Middle East, including logistics and warehouse sites, hotels and hospitality, oil and gas facilities, manufacturing plants, commercial office centres, retail applications and the new wave of multi-purpose developments that are becoming increasingly popular in the GCC.

Quanika Enterprise transforms the way employees access facilities and workspaces, as well as networks and IT applications. It unlocks the benefits of frictionless and touchless use of QR codes, NRF technology and facial recognition. It also reduces the burden on security teams by making it easy to issue and revoke physical and digital badges, while enhancing the workplace experience for users and automating building systems. By matching services to occupancy, energy consumption can be reduced.

VisitorPoint makes first impressions count by providing a white-glove reception for VIPs and efficient access for regular guests and contractors by automating workflows through pre-screening of visitors. With VisitorPoint, users can manage ID access and work permits, streamline deliveries and allow employees to easily assign parking and meeting rooms. VisitorPoint ensures that everyone who arrives at the site has a pleasant experience from the first moment, and makes it easy for staff to welcome and manage visitors.
