Change in management as of 1 January 2026
Securiton Germany announces a planned change at the top of the company. After a total of three decades with the company, including as managing director since 2011, Horst Geiser will hand over the reins to his successor Volker Benz on 31 December 2025.
The transition is the result of a succession process that was initiated early on and carried out carefully. The aim was to ensure a seamless changeover that would guarantee stability and strengthen the strategic development of the company.
Successful tenure and continuous growth
Under the leadership of Horst Geiser, Securiton Germany has developed into a strong brand in the German security market. The company has been able to continuously improve its economic performance over many years and has significantly developed its corporate culture, organisational structure and strategic orientation.
Geiser will retire at the end of 2026. Until then, he will actively support the transition and advise his successor, particularly in the context of ongoing strategic projects.
Volker Benz takes over on 1 January 2026
With Volker Benz, a long-standing, experienced management expert with deep roots in the company is taking the helm. Benz joined Securiton 17 years ago as a service technician and completed a part-time degree in communication and information technology. Since then, he has held various positions, ranging from product support and product management to head of the Digital Office and roles in the central strategy team.
Benz impressed during a multi-stage selection process, which included external evaluation and assessment. He sees great potential in existing business areas as well as future topics such as KRITIS, digitalisation, ERP modernisation, new business models and the expansion of industrial and government solutions.

Volker Benz, born in 1982, lives in Kappelrodeck near the company headquarters in Achern, is married and has two children.
Accompanying dialogue with the workforce
In the second quarter of this year, Horst Geiser and Volker Benz visited all locations and the company headquarters. In personal conversations, they provided information about the handover process and upcoming developments within the company.
