Jörg Marks becomes new chairman of the board at the Association for Safety Technology

November 29, 2022

During his term of office, Karl-Heinz-Hollung, founder of HSC Hollung Security Consult GmbH, did not stand for re-election and handed over the baton to newly elected board member Jörg Marks, head of security technology at SPIE ICS GmbH, BKr. TELBA on Monday afternoon. Karl-Heinz Hollung looks back on successful years with the association: “The current crises are putting more and more focus on the topic of safety and the association has succeeded in these years in addressing this and in networking important players. Innovative research projects, exciting events and highly topical morning sessions and training series could be advanced despite difficult corona conditions in recent years. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr Hollung for his commitment, ideas and good cooperation.

Jörg Marks: “I am looking forward to this exciting task and would like to thank my predecessor, Karl-Heinz Hollung, the entire Executive Board as well as the two Managing Directors Wilfried Joswig and Prof. Dr. Clemens Gause for their trust. On this basis, I would like to continue – together with all active members – the good work done so far and successfully develop the association further.

Furthermore, we bid farewell to Ulrich Dörr from the Executive Board, who with his open manner and his wealth of ideas has advanced our association over many years. Markus Groben is also leaving with this meeting and we wish him all the best for the future! Instead, Jochen Sauer, AXIS Communications GmbH and Michael Schenkelberg, S+K Ingenieurgesellschaft für Notfall- und Gefahrenmanagement mbH were elected as new board members by the general meeting. We hope that we will continue to work so purposefully with our departing board members, albeit in different roles.
