‘Made in Italy Safety’ – Practical seminar on CEI 79-3:2024 & case studies on 8 May 2025 in Siena

The National Association of Manufacturers and Distributors of Security Systems (Assosicurezza) is organising the seminar ‘The safety of Made in Italy’ on Thursday, 8 May 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Auditorium Viale Rinaldo Franci 18 in Siena, replacing the event originally planned in Grosseto. Participation is free of charge, but prior registration is required at

is recommended due to limited capacity. Four continuing education credits will be awarded to industry experts, ICMQ-CERSA-certified security managers and TÜV-certified professionals.

The programme begins with an introduction to the national CEI standards and European Cenelec requirements for intrusion detection systems, followed by a presentation of the new CEI 79-3:2024 standard, which regulates risk analysis and performance levels. This is followed by an explanation of documentation requirements and the requirements for declarations of conformity, as well as a brief overview of third-party certifications.

In the second part, three Italian companies will present practical case studies: Cias Elettronica Srl will present active protection concepts for critical infrastructures, Ermes Elettronica Srl demonstrates bidirectional audio systems for quiet rooms in accordance with EN 62820, and Inim Electronics Srl shows procedures for the initial testing and maintenance of fire alarm systems in accordance with UNI 11224. The event will conclude at 6:30 p.m. with a joint aperitif, which will provide an opportunity for professional exchange. Another event is scheduled for Wednesday, 11 June 2025 in Genoa.
