Company responds to rising demand and growing workforce with global expansion

Genetec Inc., a provider of physical security software, has announced the expansion of its headquarters in Montreal, Canada, and its London location. The expansion will enable the company to meet its customers’ growing demand for innovative security solutions, promote technological development and create space for a growing workforce.

The expansion is part of a long-term growth strategy: Genetec is consistently aligning its structures with customer expectations and focusing on a modern working environment that attracts and retains skilled employees.

Since 2020, the number of employees worldwide has increased by 65 percent. Genetec now has more than 2,150 employees at 20 locations on four continents. And the growth continues – currently, over 100 positions are available in various areas, including research and development (R&D).

Following its expansion, the campus in Montreal now comprises five buildings with a total area of around 36,700 square metres. In addition to R&D, commercial and operational teams, it also houses a visitor centre (‘Experience Centre’) and two bistros for employees and guests. As part of its global growth strategy, the office in London (UK) has also been expanded by one floor. Genetec recently opened new offices in Sydney, Dubai, Mexico City and Washington, D.C.

Genetec is also underscoring its commitment to the DACH region with its own location in Vienna. From there, the company serves customers and partners in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and is driving regional market development in a targeted manner.

‘Our offices are deliberately designed to promote collaboration and enable new ideas,’ says Andrew Elvish, Vice President of Marketing at Genetec Inc. ‘An inspiring work environment helps us attract and retain creative minds. Because behind every innovation are our employees – and their success is ultimately the success of our company.’
